Timothy is inspired by Tony Jannus. Becoming a Tony Jannus Scholar would allow him to further grow his career in the aviation industry.
David thompson iii
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
Major: B.S., Aeronautics with a double minor in Project Management and Aviation Safety
Notable: David served seven years in the USAF as an aircraft maintainer for the C-130J Super Hercules. He is now pursuing a career as a pilot.
Tony Jannus directly influenced David’s dream to trade in a socket wrench for the opportunity to sit behind the yoke of an aircraft.

Florida Institute of Technology
Major: B.S., Aviation Management with Flight Technology
Notable: Pursuing a career as a commercial airline pilot.
Winning this award enables Jacob to complete his flight certificates and training, allowing him to enter the airline industry as a commercial pilot and carry on the legacy started by Tony Jannus.

Notable: Ranked #1 of 124 in third-year cadets in the Nation’s second-largest AFROTC Detachment.
Jesse aspires to be a pilot in the USAF. She says Tony Jannus is a “timeless beacon of inspiration” as she pursues a career in aviation.
Eunseo Heo

Major: B.S., Aviation Management and an AA degree in Flight Operations and Dispatch.
Notable: Career goals are to become an aircraft dispatcher and an airport designer with a pilot’s perspective.
The scholars award will help Eunseo to become a licensed pilot and it will be her “flying boat” for her career journey.
